On January 16, 2021, even under the challenge of Coronavirus pandemic, the Campus competition for Hult Prize was held as a hybrid competition where the competitors presented live from Hokkaido University and the judges and other guests were joined through ZOOM from all around the world.
The Hult Prize, hosted by the Hult Prize Foundation is an annual international competition for student social entrepreneurship. The prize brings a subject each year in addressing the United nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the winner receives 1 million dollars as start-up funds for their business. The theme of the 2021 Hult Prize is “FOOD for good: Transforming food into a vehicle for challenge”.
Among 5 finalists whom are out of 15 registered teams, “FLOATMEAL” was selected as the winning team and will go on to the regional competition.
